Cell towers and mistaken identities
Lady walks into Revelations yesterday, while I'm having a conversation with my friends about whether I think war and violence are wrong, and she's petitioning to stop cell-phone towers from being put into town.
Random Cellphone Petition Lady: I've got this petition [blah blah blah]
Me: I should tell you that my friends are from out of town and that I support the cell phone towers. Sorry. I used to work in the cell industry.
RCPL: [paraphrased by me] In 20 years we'll all be talking about how we should have stopped the towers because they're giving our kids cancer
Mary (my friend, to me, with humor): And now you know why your testicles have shrunk!
RCPL (with vehemence): And that's why your cock's shrinking!
I guess I hit a sore point by being at Revelations and not supporting the self-righteous cause. Next time I'll be sure to wear a sign that clearly indicates my position.
