What line?!
The debate about whether the Abu Ghraib pictures should be released is one that gets more and more complicated in my mind. Obama double backed pretty fast on releasing the full evidence. But as I read about the insanity of what really happened, I’m not sure I blame him any more (although I really want to). The horrific (is there any more apt a term for this) violence that was inflicted in an entirely unwarranted fashion is something we don’t really need to know about, or let the world know about. And yet without the Truth, how can there be Reconciliation?
Shit like this is not only disturbing, it’s a clear indication that there is no “American” ethic. The American purity, if it ever existed, how officially ceased to be.
